ABOUT THE LESSONS

Vinyasa

Vinyasa Yoga is een flow yogastijl die is geïnspireerd op Ashtanga Yoga. Bij Vinyasa yoga ga je van yogapose naar yogapose, waarbij je ademhaling een belangrijke rol speelt. Deze les ideaal voor beginners en toegankelijk voor ervaren beoefenaars.
Myo-Yin yoga

MyoYin is a combination of two techniques: MyoFascial Release (MFR) and `Yin yoga. Its aim is to reduce tension in the body, create more elasticity in fascia which allows you to move more freely. When the connective tissue is massaged, endorphins are released into the bloodstream, which relieves pain and tension. We apply pressure to a specific area with the help of accessories. Gradually you experience a certain degree of relaxation or release. In this way we stimulate blood circulation and metabolism in this area, improving mobility, function and hydration. MFR is combined with a slow and meditative Yin yoga, which purpose is to elongate and stress the tissues while the mind stays inwardly alert.

ABOUT ME

My name is Vika, I am an experienced yoga teacher from Lithuania. I am a positive and energetic person who seeks balance and harmony in everything I do. My classes reflect my personality: some are very relaxed, meditative, they crate a safe space and encourage self-love and care. Other lessons are strong, fun, creative and create inner strength. In my classes I pay a lot of attention to the atmosphere, people and creative yoga flows that surprises the brain nd the body, taches you to move throughout the space in ease. Correct techniques and breathing play an important role in every lesson. We are here to feel good and make our daily life outside the studio a little bit easier and better.

YOGA JOURNEY AND TRAININGS: I came into a contact with yoga more than 15 years ago while going to yoga lessons with my mother. After moving to Australia, I started practicing yoga professionally. I teach full time since 2017, owned a yoga studio in Lithuania and since 2020 I live In The Netherlands where I opened my own yoga studio in Lichtenvoorde. Now you can also meet me in Doetinchem!

In 2017 I became a certified yoga teacher at the "Rishikesh Vinyasa Yoga school" (India). I have the Areal Yoga and European Register of Exercise Professionals (EREPS) licenses. In 2020 I successfully completed the Yin and Mao-yin training (Pure Yoga, Honkong). In 2023 I've completed the Yoga Anatomy course (UK). Currently studying Essentials of elite performance and neurobiomechanics (US).
